Today is Day 12 of our Random Acts of Kindness Challenge.
Your challenge today:
Hand out or donate blankets and/or gently used coats to the homeless.
If you have driven through downtown Hamilton, you may have noticed that homelessness is more prevalent as an increased number of people have lost the place they called home due to loss of jobs or they were in a shelter that had to reduce the number of people allowed in their locations due to COVID-19.
Organizations, such as, Mission Services and Good Shephard Centres experienced the fallout from this crisis and with the increased number of people who rely on their services. However, following COVID protocols had to restrict and reduce their services which has affected so many people how depend on food & meals, mental and medical support and housing, to name a few. This pandemic has left too many struggling and left homeless.
Today’s challenge, we ask that you join us by donating clean blankets and/or gently used coats to the homeless in your area. Share a video or photos of you completing today’s challenge on Facebook and tag us in your post by using the hashtag: #TeamBushRandomActsofKindness2020
We are donating $3 to CityKidz for every Facebook post that is shared using the hashtag above.
